Is it nap-time yet?

Usually I get caught up over the weekend.  My mother is getting used to the fact that if you stop by my house late in the week, you're liable to find an awful mess of one kind or another - stuff piled on the dining room table, papers on the counter, laundry dragged around by the cats (they have a thing for dirty laundry: socks, underwear, kid-shirts, bras, mittens...), and whatever project we've been into this week.  Wait a few days, let the weekend happen, and we usually start out on Monday with a tidy home, clean laundry, and relative organization.

Not this week.

Fridau night was my company Holiday party.  We went out to a fondue restaurant. (Did you know people actually still do that??)  The we drove across to the other side of the City to go see a comedy show.   Both were absolutely awesome, and a good time was had by all.  I got home at about 1:30am.  VERY late for she who turns out the light by 8:30 most nights.

Saturday morning my alarm went off at the (seemingly) obscene hour of 7:30am.  Mom brought my Little Boy home from his overnighter at Grandma's, and we packed up the van and drove off to Howell.

Arrived at the Spinning Loft by 10:15, and found a mad ruch of shoppers.  It was Beth's Grand Re-opening/Anniversay sale.  And it was hopping.

Shannah and Beth and I were pretty much on our feet all day.  No photos were taken in the mayhem and carnage of purchasing that ensued all day, except one random blogger who happened to be there at the same time as Jill Moreno, and got a good photo-op.  I don't even know who she was, to link to her.  Not that I'm doing any linking at all today, what with remote-blogging...

The bonus of the day was my Little Boy sitting down to spin, and making 3 skeins of lumpy, bumpy, brightly-colored yarn for a hat.  I'll knit it.  It's too much to ask of him to knit, too!  And I sold a skein of handspun!  My first, but hopefully not last!

Sunday was Recovery Day.  We went to church, where Little Boy went all pale and almost collapsed.  I carried him (!) to the bathroom, quickly, for the emptying of the stomach (ick), retrieved our coats, and we went home.  Where we stayed all day, him mostly curled on the couch, reading, me spinning.  I plyed 750 yards of laceweight (for sale!) Shetland.

A little random tidying happened, but we were both exhausted, and went to bed early.

Monday started the week without having done the laundry, vacuumed, or wiped down the bathroom.

Today I work late.

Tomorrow?

Let's hope, but don't count on it.

Oh, thanks for the account of the big day at Beth's store! I'm so bummed I couldn't be there. :-(
